It was our intention to take the kids to the two story "amazing toy store". Yep, that was how we had talked it up. Ella hung on to my everyword as I described this magical toy store that had every toy possible along with a massive piano that she could walk on. Oh, she was excited for it! Well, it's been a few years since Scott and I had been to the windy city and they have closed that "magical toy store". However, they "moved" parts of it to the fifth floor of the Macy's building. Thankfully, they had tons of very large stuffed animals that were impressive to Ella. And they did have a piano that she could walk on, just not the same size as the original that was shown in the movie BIG. (not that Ella even knows of that movie but it was something I had found fascinating during my visiti to the origianl FAO store.) Oh well, Ella was tickled and Carter...well he slept.
The considerably smaller version of the real store...that has since closed.
Ella enjoying the Santa display in Macy's

Had to catch Carter and Grandpa's picture next to the dinosaurs, even if he's out cold

Christian is a fan of the large animals, too

Loving the "pegasus ponies" as she calls them
" the piano you can walk on".....along with a stranger
