Tis the season

Last weekend we enjoyed our first day at the lake. We went up to help out with a few projects and enjoy the splendor of the lake. So much has changed and so much has stayed the same in the last 9 months.
The same old same-old:

We LOVE the water.

Fishing in the favorite "non-swimming" past time.

A bucket of worms can last the whole day.

Nobody wants to go inside, unless it is to eat.

Ella is Grandpa's girl!

Christian is Grandma's boy!

Carter is ALL about the water.

The Changes:

Christian really outgrew his lifejacket. He looked very uncomfortable and ridiculous in the old one.

The boys fished on the dock by-them-selves (for 15 minutes). Yippee!

Carter ventured out of the routine of feeding the fish. He attempted using jelly beans as bait. They must have been starved bc they took it.

The lake is so high that there is currently no beach for playing on.

Look! He is already holding onto those fish and throwing them back into the water.

Christian's version of heaven on Earth...snacking on crackers while leisurely blowing bubbles!

Waterballoons.....already!

Possibly their 2nd favorite thing to do at grandma's...drive the tractor!

My fishermen

In his GLORY!

I think at some point this summer they will try to fish until after the sun goes down! Dinner was all I could tempt them with at this point!

We had so much fun. We were hopeful the holiday weekend forcast would be better. I think we will be spending Sunday/Monday enjoying more lake time! Enjoy the weekend.
